These terms apply to your use of this website and to services provided by The House of Interiors Pvt. Ltd.. Where you have signed a project contract with us, that contract prevails over anything stated here. Our warranty terms and privacy policy form part of these terms.
Using this website
- Content on this site — including prices, timelines and design imagery — is provided for general information and does not constitute a binding offer.
- Prices shown are indicative starting points, exclude GST unless stated, and vary with your actual dimensions, site conditions and material selection.
- Cost calculator outputs are estimates generated from standard sizes and current rates. They are not a quotation.
Quotations and contracts
- A binding quotation is issued only after a site measurement and is valid for 30 days from issue.
- Your contract, once signed, governs the relationship and takes precedence over anything on this website.
- The quoted price is fixed against the signed scope. It changes only where you change the scope, or where a site condition concealed at the time of measurement requires additional work — and any such change is quoted and approved in writing before it proceeds.
Payments
- Payment stages are set out in your contract, typically 10% on booking, 40% on design sign-off, 45% before dispatch and 5% after handover.
- The booking amount reserves your designer and production slot and is adjusted against the total project value.
- Delays in payment may shift your delivery date, since production slots are scheduled in advance.
Delivery timelines
- The 45-day timeline runs from design sign-off, not from your first enquiry, and assumes the site is available and access is granted.
- Delays caused by pending society or builder permissions, restricted site access, or customer-side changes after sign-off extend the timeline accordingly.
- Where we miss an agreed date for reasons within our control, the penalty terms in your contract apply.
Design and intellectual property
- Designs, drawings and 3D renders we produce remain our intellectual property until your project is paid in full.
- We may photograph completed projects and use the images in our portfolio and marketing. Tell us in writing if you would prefer we did not, and we will not.
- 3D renders are a representation. Minor variation in colour, grain and texture between a render and the installed material is normal and is not a defect.
Warranty
- Warranty terms are set out in full on our warranty page and form part of your contract.
- Warranty is void on any unit altered, repaired or modified by anyone other than our team.
- Appliances, sanitaryware and third-party loose furniture carry their manufacturer's warranty, which we register on your behalf.
Cancellation
- You may cancel before design sign-off with a refund of amounts paid less any design work already carried out.
- After design sign-off and production release, materials have been cut to your specification and cancellation charges apply as set out in your contract.
- We may cancel a project where site conditions make safe execution impossible, refunding amounts paid for work not carried out.
Liability
- Our liability is limited to the value of the contract between us.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of rent or alternative accommodation costs.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
- These terms are governed by the laws of India.
- Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
